In the work of Város és Vadon, nature does not begin somewhere else: it is there in the blocks of flats, the housing estates and the sparrows flying into shopping centres.
The distinct forms and overlapping layers of linocut and embroidery carry both technique and meaning. Paper, surface and colour applied by hand bring urban wildlife within tangible reach.
The works aim to dismantle learned barriers and create a direct encounter in which viewers can recognise that we all inhabit the same place, and that connecting with the life around us is one of the most fundamental ways of belonging.
