Our gallery does not contain pornographic content. However, some works may depict compositions made up of nude human figures, and we also have drawings that include written profanity, or depict the consumption or effects of alcohol.
Our gallery does not distinguish between images portraying love based on the gender of the people shown, and we never have — nor ever will — take this into account during the selection process, either as an advantage or a disadvantage.
Under the current legal circumstances, it may unfortunately happen that someone considers this to be unlawful. At the same time, parents have an unquestionable right to decide what they wish to discuss with their child, and according to which values they wish to raise them.
Start Galéria Budapest is committed to love and respect, and there will always be space here for dry humour and works that hold up a — sometimes distorted — mirror to society.
At the same time, it is important to know that Analóg Angelika, the head of the gallery, is also a mother. Therefore, she does her best to welcome young people attending our programmes or exhibitions in an age-appropriate way, and to keep separate those works that, as a mother, she would not place in front of a child under the age of 14. However, at events and in exhibition materials, there may be cases where this cannot be avoided.
